A staple in everyone's closet for colder months is by far sweaters. Whether you're a turtleneck, cable knit, or cardigan kind of girl, you can't deny you have enough to get you through the November to March (ish) months. And one of my favourite ways to style sweaters is with more delicate pieces that you would wear in Spring and Fall, like flowy skirts and thinner pants. If you've been reading my blog for a while, you know I love contrasting masculine and feminine pieces, and sleek and chunky pieces.
The good thing about this awkward not-still-winter-not-quite-spring-yet time is that there are still sweaters coming into stores but they're coming in in beautiful Spring colours. And most people might not want to spend money on in-between pieces, since they feel that they already have winter sweaters and will wait until Spring finally hits to wear lighter, spring-coloured pieces. And not only will this allow you to Spring-up your winter sweaters, but it will also help you cozy up some of your Spring wardrobe, so that you can wear lighter pieces during this transition period. So I'm here to show you how to transition your winter sweaters right into spring!

Even a super-wintery piece like this grey turtleneck can be worn once the weather hits say 10 degrees (celsius!). Just be sure to pair it with pieces that are super-springy, so you get the perfect balance of the two seasons. Even though light pink was also a trendy colour for Winter, a light, delicate skirt in the colour definitely says "Spring", especially when worn with white sneakers.

The beauty of this chunky, cable knit is the gorgeous lavender colour of it. Lavender (and purple in general) are again going to be seen in Spring, so even though this sweater is very heavy, the colour allows it to be worn right into Spring. Go for a pastel palette, and pieces you would never pair together in the Winter (like white jeans and pink outerwear!).
