Neutrals

Summer inspires people to wear bright pops of colour, whether a statement piece or a colour-blocked outfit. But don't be afraid to tame your summer instincts, especially this summer when neutrals are one of the hottest trends.

Pair a neutral bottom (white, light taupe, dusty rose) with a top of a different neutral. You can do any two (or even three) colours together; since they’re all neutral, they all match!

If you're feeling daring, do an all white outfit (see below). Even though it's a very simple and innocent colour, the delicate crochet top contrasts nicely with the ripped boyfriend jeans to create a daring combination.

If you feel too naked you can always add a black or darker colour on the bottom (like I did below), or even just as a belt or accessory.

How are you wearing the neutral trend this summer?

Long Weekends

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been crazy busy the last couple weeks. Last weekend was the Canada Day long weekend. I worked all weekend and on Monday my family and I went down to the beaches with our dog. It was the perfect day to sit on a patio and have a beer (which is exactly what we did). We had lunch at the works, an amazing burger joint in Toronto. Check our their website and mind-blowing menu here, I highly recommend!

I went very boho and did an olive green maxi skirt with a striped crop top. I paired the outfit with a long gold necklace and brown gladiator sandals, and to top it off I wore a cute floral side purse.

What did my Canadian readers do for the long weekend? And what do my American readers plan to do for their 4th of July long weekend?
