I am so excited to be writing to you today about an app that is launching today and that I have been asked to be apart of. TiZKKA (the Icelandic word for fashion) is a fashion app that allows you to share your own looks as well as view others and to give and get advice on looks and outfits! Think Instagram, but the pictures are strictly fashion related. As a user, you can get advice from other followers, as well as fashion bloggers (like me), personal stylists, fashion designers, image consultants, make-up artists, and hairstylists, so you can get their opinion on your whole look!
Some really great features that this app has is the ability to tag the brands that you're wearing so others know where to find them, as well as linking to the page where the item can be purchased. This is great for your followers, as well as for yourself to find other users' products. It's also a great way to become interactive with your favourite influential people in the fashion world (in my case, your favourite fashion blogger!), to get their advice on a look, and also to comment on theirs.
The app is free, so download it and try it out now! Follow me: Robyn Emer

Weekend Highlights
This weekend was one of the busiest I've had in a really long time, but it was also one of the best! It was off to a great start with a concert Thursday night with my sister, which was absolutely amazing. Friday was spent running some last minute errands for my shoot that was to happen Saturday, like picking up a garment rack and snacks, and then setting up and steaming all the items. Then Friday night I went to a play at a University with a friend from school, which was also incredible.
Saturday was (finally) the day of my editorial photo shoot for school! It went from about 10am until about 4:30pm, and it was so much fun. The photographer, model, and hair and makeup artist were all amazing to work with and we made a really great team. I can't believe after all the planning and shopping that went into it, it's all over in a matter of hours. I already received the proofs from the photographer and everything looks great, I can't wait to receive the final copies.
Saturday night I got to wind down with some friends for a girlfriend's birthday, and even though I was absolutely exhausted from the day, it was so much fun. I hope you all had an amazing weekend too! Here are just some behind the scenes sneak peaks at the shoot, and I can't wait to share the final photos with you all!

Jumpstart
Over the last few weeks at school we've had guest speakers come and talk to our class about what it's like to work in the fashion industry, which obviously got me worried and anxious about my future. So, taking their advice, I've been putting myself out there more and doing things to further my "career" (I only put the word in quotations because I don't really have one yet).
After hearing plenty of people talk about their "book" or "portfolio", I realized I should probably get started on my own, since it currently is non-existent. Not just that I don't have a physical book to show people, but that I don't even really have anything to put in it. So when my aunt approached me a few weeks ago asking me to help her find something to wear to an event at the end of the month, I thought it was the perfect chance. We are going shopping later today, and I'm sure she'll let me snap a few shots of her in her outfit for my portfolio. (PS. I went out and bought a book today and I can't wait to start filling it with photos!)
I recently created a logo (below) and Facebook page for my blog, so that I can hopefully get a wider audience reach, since not a lot of my Facebook friends actually know about my blog. You can find the page by clicking the Facebook button at the top of my blog. I'm also going to an agency next week to talk to them about assisting a stylist they represent (which is actually the reason I bought the book; I need to have something to show them!).

I feel a bit better about my future at the moment, knowing that I've at least got some plans to start putting myself out there and start creating relationships. More posts to come soon! PS. Can you tell that I love purple yet?
