statement booties

As with any statement piece, statement boots elevate any outfit, no matter the occasion. And the best part about statement boots is that there are so many different styles; printed, metallic (which you know I love), or even just a bold colour.

These boots are great for when don't want to or just don't have the time to put a lot of thought into your outfit. But will also still work when you are wearing a kick-ass outfit, and want to just take it that much further. I've enjoyed showing you how to wear trends for the still-cold winter weather, as well as who to incorporate these trends I've been showing you into spring looks. So below you will find a few outfits that work for different climates!

1. Sam Edelman
2. Christian Louboutin
3. Ralph Lauren
4. Jeffery Campbell
5. Sam Edelman
6. Burberry Prorsum
7. Vivienne Westwood
8. Valentino
9. Michael Kors

I find leopard print to be classic and also, possibly surprisingly, neutral. It helps that it's made up of neutral tones, like brown and black, but I think you can honestly pair leopard print with pretty much any outfit and it will totally work. Especially when the leopard print is in your shoe. Go bold all over with a printed blouse, as well as bootie, but keep the pallet of both prints very similar. Keep other parts of your look simple, with black pants and a bag, but don't be afraid to wear a bold coat, but keep it to a solid colour. With a blouse tucked in like this, this look is even appropriate for something as dressy as a lunch meeting.

Blouse: Givenchy
Jeans: New Look
Bracelet: By Malene Birger
Coat: Weekday
Bag: Givenchy
Boots: Christian Louboutin

I like this outfit for a spring day, because of the light blue boots. If you want to keep your outfit simple and casual, go for a basic skirt-and-sweater look, and people will be sure to notice your fab boots because of the matching colour skirt. Wear this for a casual coffee date or for vintage shopping downtown when the weather gets warmer!

Sweater: Rag & Bone
Skirt: ROMWE
Vest: Rebecca Taylor
Necklace: Charlotte Russe
Bag: Balenciaga
Boots: Jeffery Campbell

For this look, I decided to go for the colour blocking boot, as well as a colour blocking theme. I would now keep the rest of my outfit to one colour, and black will be sure to let the statement pieces stand out. I wouldn't normally do more than one or two statement pieces in an outfit, but if they are all still fairly simple, and have at least one colour in common (in this case, electric blue), then for this I would say it still works. The great thing about this particular outfit is that you can wear it in Spring, or even now by adding tights and a coat!

What kind of statement booties are you going for this season?
