WMCFW day 1 review
I know I said I wasn't going to post links to my My City Gossip articles anymore, but since I don't have my day 1 outfit photographed to show you, I figured I would at least post my day 1 review.

TOM outfit day 1
Last week (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) was Toronto Men's Fashion Week for Fall/Winter 2015. I was fortunate enough to be able to attend most of the Wednesday and Thursday shows, and I just wanted to quickly share the outfits I wore to the shows. This was Wednesday's outfit, and Thursday's will be posted on Thursday of this week.

PFW haute couture: elie saab
I wouldn't normally post about a fashion week that I didn't attend, in as much detail and sharing pictures, but I am just so in love with the Elie Saab Haute Couture S/S 2015 collection. Elie Saab is by far one of my favourite designers; whether it be his Ready To Wear or Haute Couture collections, I have never come across a collection where I wasn't in love with most or all of the pieces and looks.

Fashion Week Highlights
Last week I made a post for My City Gossip about fashion week highlights. Today I am bringing this article to you, but I would also like to add in a few of my own highlights, that were special to me. You can find a link to the My City Gossip article at the bottom of this post.
First, there were two surprise appearances (at least they were surprises to me) in the Christopher Batest show and the Huntress show. I mentioned them in my show reviews but I wanted to mention it again. Greg Bryk walked in the Christopher Bates show, who is on the show Bitten. It's filmed in Toronto and it's about werewolves, and of course being a sci fi/fantasy geek I watch it, so I was so excited to see him come down the runway. Gina Torres who is one of my favourite actresses, is in Suits and also Firefly and Serenity (again, super sci fi geek stuff). I've actually had the pleasure of meeting her before, but seeing her walk in the Huntress show was truly amazing. She looked absolutely perfect in the gold dress and Huntress jewels.

Another Highlight for me was getting to go backstage and hang out in the Maybeline lounge! They had lots of goodies for us, like pink sparkly doughnuts, boxed water, and of course cosmetics. I grabbed an Essie polish in Cocktails and Coconuts, and a Maybeline lipstick in Espresso. It was also nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the main tents for a while and just chill out with some friends.
Here is a link to my Fashion Week Highlights article for My City Gossip that include a few more highlights! Here's just another picture from the tents I wanted to include in the post, so you can click them to get to the article too!

WMCFW: Day 5 Outfit
For the last day of shows I decided to go for something that was super comfy and simple. I decided on a black and white colour scheme with burgundy accessories and outerwear. I was so happy that my friend from work was able to join me for the whole day today. We had so much fun together and afterwards, we went out for a yummy dinner, and it was the perfect way to end the week.

WMCFW: Day 4 Outfit
So after the little weather mishap on Day 1, I started "building" coats into my outfits for the rest of the week. However, on the Thursday it ended up being so gorgeous out, I ended up stripping off all my layers (a poncho and blazer), and enjoyed the sunshine! I thought this side street filled with gorgeous fall colours was the perfect background for my burgundy and leopard ensemble (so totally fall). I love that some of the pieces are so boho (like the hat, poncho, and fringe bag), and then there's really sleek, tailored pieces (the blazer, skinny jeans, and pointy-toe heels); they just play so well off of each other.

WMCFW: Day 3 Outfit
Day 3 of fashion week was actually my birthday, and so I wanted to wear something a bit more fun. I ended up opting for a printed skirt and added a statement necklace and ring (go big or go home) in the same colour family (purple, of course). And I finished the look with my favourite purple lipstick!

WMCFW: Day 2 Outfit
I will be blogging through the weekend to bring you reviews and outfits from Toronto Fashion Week as quick as possible. I can't believe the week is over. It's a little bittersweet, because on the one hand I need to catch up on some sleep (and some work), but on the other hand I've met and spent time with such cool people this week it's going to be weird not seeing them everyday! But let's go back to day 2 for a look at my outfit!
During day 2 there was to be an event celebrating the style of Minnie Mouse, so of course I dressed up. I channeled my inner Minnie with the white blouse and red blazer, and also the polka dot tights. But I put my own spin on the look by making it a little edgier with the leather shorts, statement necklace, and red lips. I just needed to add a little faux fur coat for making my way to and from the tents because it was pretty chilly and rainy outside.
Blouse: Zara
Blazer: H&M
Necklace: Topshop

Tights: H&M
Boots: H&M
Bracelets: Pandora

WMCFW: Day 3 Review
In terms of reviews for fashion week, I'll be writing the day one, two, and five reviews right here on my own blog, but the day three and four reviews on My City Gossip. Sorry for going a bit out of order, but because I've been exhausted at the end of the days, I haven't had a chance to finish my review of day one, but day three was already due for My City Gossip so I figured I'd post this one in the mean time. You can click the link above, or on the picture below to read the article!

WMCFW: Day 1 Outfit
Obviously like any fashion-obsessed person, I had my outfits for fashion week picked out about a week before (well, a week before is when I finalized them; I'd been working on what I was going to wear probably since the beginning of the month), but if I learned one thing on the first day of fashion week it was that you can plan all you want but Mother Nature ultimately makes the choice of what you will wear.
The plan was to wear a sheer white cross-over blouse with a heavy fur vest (I loved the contrast between the two, especially with the boyfriend jeans), but because it was so cold and rainy I had to add a little leather jacket under the vest and change from my open-toe black booties to these tan ones. But, as you can see, the outfit still turned out pretty cute and I was definitely warm enough in all my layers. The only complaint I have is that I had to lug around my big umbrella, and that we had to move this little photoshoot inside the house, where the lighting was definitely not as good as outside.
If you remember my Instagram of when my sister's friend did my hair with the wrap around braids, that day I knew I wanted her to do my hair like that again one day for fashion week. We figured we'd start the week off right and do it on the first day of shows. It also ended up working out that my hair as up since the rain and humidity would've made it frizzy. Anyways, here is my outfit from day 1 of Spring/Summer 2015 fashion week!
Blouse: H&M
Fur Vest: Zara
Jeans: Bluenotes
Bag: Old Navy
Boots: Old Navy
Ring: Topshop
Lipstick: Mac Cyber
